Google is ready to launch its augmented reality stickers for the Pixel and Pixel 2 smartphones. While the feature was announced in October this year, Google is also adding stickers pertaining to Star Wars and Stranger Things. The feature allows you to use the camera to put characters from these series in the real world. Further, the tech giant is also adding special Star Wars stickers ahead of The Last Jedi later this week.

Google plans to add more stickers in the future.

So, you will now be able to place the Demogorgon from Airbnb or the kids from Stranger Things in the environment around you. They also recognise and interact with items in the scene, making them feel more real. For Star Wars, the company has added Stormtroopers, the legendary R2-D2 robot and the new BB-8 drone.

Further, there are some other stickers available as well. That includes a coffee mug, donuts and more. The AR stickers are exclusive to Google’s Pixel devices, at least for now. You will get them if your Pixel or Pixel 2 is updated to Android 8.1. The feature should show up within the camera app if you’ve got the update. The company does have plans to add more stickers in the future.
