The Oppo A57 has been announced on the Chinese company’s social media pages.

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is going to launch a new smartphone on February 3. Named the Oppo A57, this device will apparently have a 16MP camera. The announcement was made by Oppo on its social media pages. The price of the device isn’t known at the moment. However, the Oppo A57 was launched in China in November last year, at a price point of 1599 Yuan, which roughly equals Rs. 16,000.

Further, the Oppo A57 has a 5.2 inch HD display, along with a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC and 3GB of RAM. It runs on a 2900 mAh battery and has 32GB of internal storage. This can be expanded to 128GB using a micro-SD card. Given the big front camera, though, the Oppo A57 is obviously going to be a selfie-centric smartphone. It will also have a 13MP rear camera. Oppo will also pre-load its ColorOS 3.0 software, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Oppo A57 seems to be carrying forward the company’s tryst with selfie-centric smartphones. The Chinese OEM had earlier launched the Oppo F1s and F1 Plus, with a 16MP front facing camera.
