We already know that the Vivo X20 Plus is going to be the first smartphone with a under-display fingerprint scanner. What was missing so far though was a launch date and price for the product. However, the company has now announced all the details pertaining to this product.
The Vivo X20 Plus is obviously one of the most highly anticipated products of 2018, given the in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Vivo X20 Plus will be sold at $565 (converted from Yuan) and it will be up for pre orders in the Chinese market from January 29. It will officially start selling from February 1 onwards. The phone has a 6.43-inch 1080p 18:9 display and runs on the Snapdragon 660 chipset from Qualcomm. It is powered by a 3900 mAh battery and two 13MP cameras on the back. It also has 4GB RAM and 128GB storage inside, making it a mid-ranged offering.
The Vivo X20 Plus is obviously one of the most highly anticipated products of 2018, given the in-display fingerprint scanner. The Samsung Galaxy S9 is also expected to sport the same technology, but Samsung’s phone doesn’t launch before Mobile World Congress this year, which is set for end of February. So, Vivo will likely set the stage for what we can expect future smartphones to be.
