Tesla recently unveiled semi truck already has some orders. Walmart has confirmed that it already pre-ordered 15 of Tesla’s semi trucks, says a report by CNBC. Reports say that the deal hasn’t been finalised yet, but is in the works at the moment. That said, having Walmart’s interest in its trucks will definitely get Tesla some good PR. The company’s semi-truck has just been announced and businesses would be where it would be able to make money from.

“We have long history of testing new technology - including alternative fuel trucks - and we are excited to be among the first to pilot this new heavy-duty electric vehicle. We believe we can learn how this technology performs within our supply chain, as well as how it could help us meet some of our long-term sustainability goals, such as lowering emissions,” Walmart said in a statement.

Tesla’s pilot process is apparently going to be held in US and Canada. It seems five of the trucks Walmart has ordered are for its US businesses, while the 10 others will be used on Canadian routes. Walmart already has a fleet of 6000 regular trucks.
