According to supply chain reports, Apple will be shipping 26 million units of the iPhone X by December this year. Renowned Apple analyst, Ming Chi Kuo, has said that Apple is planning to increase production for the iPhone X by 35% to 45% in this quarter.
Further, Kuo also said that consumers are responding well to the tenth anniversary iPhone and hence Apple is planning to increase production for the same. The iPhone 8 Plus is still on some people's’ radar, but it’s certainly not as attractive as the iPhone X. That said, the newest phone’s $1000 price tag makes it difficult for many to afford the device.
Lastly, report have so far indicated that Apple sold 11.8 million units of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus this past quarter. Of these, 6.3 million handsets were accounted for by the iPhone 8 Plus, while Apple sold 5.5 million units of the iPhone 8.
