Are you a fan of Gordon Ramsey’s kitchen-related shows? Or the man himself? Well, Amazon’s smart speakers may have something in store for you. The celebrity chef has his own Alexa skill now. You can get feedback from Ramsay himself (well...kind of) by saying “Alexa, ask Gordon Ramsay what he thinks about my food”. You can even add what dish you’ve made, though responses aren’t personalised yet.
Ramsay has been known for his uber honest responses on cooking shows, making many a contestant cry.
Make no mistake, the responses are pre decided and it’s not actually going to help you improve your cooking. As Amazon says on this page, “See what it feels like to work in Gordon’s kitchen”, “Get ready for a reality check” and “Take the heat or get out”. It seems pretty much like a collection of insults from the master chef himself.
Ramsay has been known for his uber honest responses on cooking shows, making many a contestant cry. This is not the first association we’ve seen between Alexa and Ramsay either. The chef was in Amazon’s recent super bowl ad, trying to replace Alexa when she loses her voice. The new skill is rated mature, and was produced in partnership with Ground Control, the same company that made the Alexa skill, Biden Briefing. You can enable the skill by saying, “Alexa, enable Gordon Ramsay.”
