As E3 rolls on, DICE today revealed a bunch of updates for its Star Wars Battlefront II game. With the new updates, players will be allowed to play in the Clone Wars era. Also, the company is adding a bunch of new characters, like Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Greivous. We don’t yet know the release date for these however.
That’s a big change, since Battlefront II has so far been focused on the new movies like Rogue One, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. This is the first time the game will bring one of the original movies. Also, it’s the first time Battlefront II players will be able to use characters from the prequels, or the original Star Wars series.
Further, EA announced that new content for Han Solo will be released this season. That includes a squad system, a new starfighter mode and the environments on Kessel. The company will also be adding the Extraction game mode. All of these updates will be released on the 12th of this month.
In related news, Titanfall developer Respawn has also teased a new Star Wars game. That one is apparently set between the Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, and it will be coming out next year.
