The next version of Assassin’s Creed was made official last week, and Ubisoft took to the stage at E3 to show us more. The game is called Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey and it is going to be set in ancient Greece, as was quite clear from the earlier teaser trailer as well. However, the new trailer shows us a little more on how the game will turn out.
From the trailer, it seems the game will be taking cues from the RPG gameplay that we saw in Origins last year. So, you can expect the same combat system as that one, possible with some changes. There will also be a loot option and the eagle companion should also return. Of course, there will be a different storyline to all this, given the Greek setting this time.
Further, it seems Odyssey will also bring back the naval combat setting we saw in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, five odd years ago. So, you’ll likely be exploring the seas in this new game as well. Also, Odyssey lets gamers look back on their own choices and there are big war-like battles to play as well.
